For instance, you cant drag and drop a Notion file. I have inserted Gists from GitHub into my documentation and it displays beautifully. Electron apps often lack features one would expect of a Mac app. The integration with other platforms is amazing and constantly expanding. The code syntax for any programming language you use is just heaven, and it copies and pastes just as nice (I remember I spent hour debugging things only to find out OneNote was pasting curly double quotes at some point). Moving things around, turning blocks into other things, etc. A media player putting a strain on your Macs battery isnt all that surprising in and of itself. I like how you just organise things with workspaces and then you can define your hierarchy as you deem necessary. The searches, the typing, the linking, referencing, image uploading, etc etc etc all speedy and creates a frictionless experience. Roam is crazy fast compared to Notion, Notion feels like a grandma. It works incredibly well for that and it pushes to other devices flawlessly (Bear requires a subscription for this). When i started using Roamresearch, I realized how slow Notion was. One of the standout features of Niftyman is the ability to customize each instances. With Niftyman, you can have multiple instances of Notion pages just a click away, maximizing your productivity and making it easier to switch between different pages. I use this application to document everything I do, especially code and code snippets that I use for web development. Niftyman is a beautifully crafted MacOS menu bar app that enhances your Notion experience. It's been 6+ months and I have not looked back. Notion for Mac is an outstanding tool for organizing documents, databases, audiovisual material, notes, meetings, and calendars, all from the same program. I found this App through a very Quora email digest when I was cleaning my inbox and man I am glad I did. This web app offers real-time editing and creating of over 30 content types, including various image formats and file uploads. Notes App yet I've always found something that just would not let my workflow. I have used them all: Evernote, OneNote, Quiver, Bear. ![]() ![]() I had to take a break from work to just write how awesome this application is.
